As a product of one of the oldest soap making traditions in the world, Nablus soap is hand-crafted, all-natural and consisting of only 3 basic natural ingredients: 100% pure olive oil, water and a sodium compound (Salt). In early 20th century Nablus, Palestine, the birthplace of this soap, had some 30 soap factories in operation, backed by the most prominent families of this major commercial city. Today, only three remain. The Ostrich brand was established in 1918 by Haj Taher Masri. Our Original soap continues to be handmade in the same way till this day. We believe in keeping things pure and simple; that’s why our products are made with only the purest and most natural ingredients. True to the local traditions, the final product is ivory colored with almost no scent whatsoever, except for the faint notes of olive oil. In our quest to build on the tradition; the Nablusi soap” line was created to complement our original line. We use the base original recipe and add hints from nature. The end result is pure traditional luxury.
